Inverison -- Trying to Grow This Hair OWT!

I love my school pic but I am still not satisfied with my length. Sooo. . . .one day I found this video on inversion--a method of growing hair in one week. Hmmm. Very interesting but I have so many attempts and methods that I was not sure. Actually, there is some slight science with it.

There are the steps:

  1. Warm your favorite oil. Choose an oil design to penetrate the hair or growth.
  2. Oil the entire scalp for each night and massage the hair and scalp.
  3. Tilt your head down (yes, I know right) for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Raise your head up slowly (in case you get dizzy).
  5. Continue your nightly routine and/or go to bed.
Well, I thought about it. The blood flow that reaching my roots could be very beneficial, especially hair massage. Hair massage has been reported to stimulate growth.* Many people have tried and swear by it. But I though hair grows at least a quarter of an inch per month regardless of age or ethnicity.

Well I've been thinking about it. I going to start this method for one week. Sunday-Saturday starting TODAY  4/16/14 and see what happens. I will update this post by Saturday 4/22/14 and give you guys the results.

Epic Fail Roller Set Turned into Happy Holiday Hair

I have washed, pressed, and styled my hair since last weekend. I flat twisted my my hair with Lustrasilk Curl Max Super Curly Moose. A review will follow soon. This weekend before Christmas, I wanted to roller set my hair in big roller, silk wrap and bump my hair. SYKE! I ended up with a big mess that I had to save by blow drying my hair and pressing it out, which I did NOT want to do. Pressing my hair is not a big deal but I try to avoid heat damage. Winter is the best time to press my hair because to the "dryness" in the air. I haven't tried to "press" over my hair until Friday, which is pretty good. So here are the results.

These are my steps:

  1. Detangle and deep condition hair with homemade oil (Castor, EVOO, rosemary, tea tree, peppermint) with Blue Magic cholesterol conditioning rinse and VO5 moisture milk. Sit under hooded dryer for 30 minutes.
  2. Roller set hair on large pink/fushia rollers with lottabody setting lotion, kimmymaetube leave-in conditioner and Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity. Dried hair over night . . . EPIC FAIL. . .SHOULD HAVE DRIED under hooded dryer, but it was late so I went to bed after 30 minutes.
  3. Next morning, blow dried hair using medium low heat. Flat-iron hair with Silk Elements heat protection spray.
  4. Flat twisted hair using more EVOO mixture and moose.

Vanishing Bald Spot

OMG! My bald spot is vanishing, thanks to Gro Aut Growth Oil. There was a picture inadvertently taken two months ago where you can see the bald spot on the right side of my temple. This has been there for years thanks to a so-called braider at shop. BE AWARE OF THESE SHOPS. Too many people working on someone's head is not always good. So when I took my braids down I lost hair around my hair line and I was pissed to say the least. It never grew back until now! They say the truth is in the pudding but look at these pictures.

Hair Growth Challenge -- Gro Aut Solutions

I have started with Gro Aut Oil January 20, 2012. I am so syked. I could feel the "itchiness" people were experiences from their testimonies from the site. So I order the hair regimen set and the other small oils to see by Easter weekend does my hair really respond to this gro aut method. My hair is a little pass my shoulders so I need to see if I can get to BSL by end of the year.

According to their method. I must wash my hair twice a week or at least once a week. My typical wash day is Friday night/Saturday morning, depending on what I have to do. So the second day of the week would be Tuesday night because I usally have NOTHING to do. Okay. . . then they say to wash the hair first with the Herbal Gro shampoo followed by the Jojoba shampoo. Well since I typical wash it twice in once setting, than I said okay that will work. Next, use the Jojoba conditioner. Now this where there could be an issue because you can rinse it out after five minutes or leave it in. The first time I used it, I didn't get the usual slip as the VO5 Moisture Milks conditioner but I do use a lot of VO5 so that a semi-bad comparison and I didn't have much to work with and the price is higher. I wanted to try my JBCO with my Kimmaytube leave-in conditioner to see if the JBCO makes a difference in growth. Well maybe I'll do that in the summer where hair grows 15% longer/faster.  The last step is to use the Gro Aut oil, Mahabhringraj oil, and Bhringraj oil on the scalp while putting the coconut oil on the ends.

I won't stop there. I will start creating protective styles, air dry my hair, and drink more water. I can't wait to see the difference since December 2011 after I pressed my hair. I did noticed that my ends seems thin so I might be considering a trim. Errrr I dread the thought. But I need to retain length. I haven't clipped my ends since October/November 2011.

What is Hang Time??

I love working with kids. They tell you the wildest things. I just learned recently what hang time is. Of course they knew that I didn't know what they were talking about. I just assumed it was when you slam dunked a basketball. That shows my age uh?

Well hang time is not about basketball. It's about the length of your braids or when you come your hair out. UHHH??? So if a young guy gets his hair braided, the ends of the hair does not touch the back of his neck, he doesn't have hang time or when a girl presses hair or a short cut and it doesn't hang long; it means she doesn't have hang time either.

Wow, so kids judge hair just as bad as adults. They are so influenced by what we do and say. We need to educate them in all expects of life including health and beauty. Give me your thoughts.
